Pope Francis has urged Filipino Catholics to renew their commitment as "missionary disciples" who are ready to evangelize the world. In a message to some 10,000 Filipinos who were gathered at the end of the Philippine bishops' conference's Committee on Basic Ecclesial Communities national assembly in Manila on Nov. 14, the pontiff urged the faithful to turn their attention to the "outcasts" of society.
